When Martinez went to Everton I thought his defensive shortcomings would be clear but his first season they were quite solid. Second season they were shocking at the back and I realised the defence from Moyes time was gone. I think the same has happened to us last season we looked quite strong at the back maybe due to fattys organisation which has gone to pot. We could have let 10 in yesterday, I dont remember that happening last year even when we had injury problems

Slaven is not the man for the job under this board, give him the players and I am pretty confident he will do a decent job but ask him to find the players on a budget for this league and expect him to mould a bunch of average players into a team to compete at this level surely his career record suggests nothing that he would be successful in doing that?
If the players aren't good enough to play the style of football the manager wants then something has to change and it doesn't look like Slaven is the type of manager to adapt his style then sadly it will be him that goes.
I think Slaven has been let down massively by the board because the the unique circumstances of last summer and fact the board were making minimal investment in the stadium and the absence of any young players good enough to step up a spend of £50-60m should have been a realistic scenario, though no nothing is certain you would like to think that we would have brought in better quality than we did.
In fairness this board always need a manager like Steve Bruce to work for them as their clubs have no football identity say like Southampton have and need someone to mould a bunch misfits into a side. We need to realise last season for us and even more so for Leicester was a freak and for us it will be as good as it ever got under these owners.

In, the players need to step up and show passion, there paid fucking enough, oh and if his attitude that looks to me to be on the nose doesn't change then get rid of that moody Frenchman whilst we can still get a big fee for him, then buy some younger and hungrier talent.

Got a manager in that has actually won titles/cups and would be respected by all the players for his achievements and knows how to win again. They will come if you are willing to pay the money and provide a decent transfer budget that such a top manager with a hard earned reputation would rightly demand.
Fact is the owners have tried to do everything on the cheap from managers signing relegation clauses to freebies and loan players to retractable seating on breeze blocks, no policing or walkie talkie system it has backfired. They relegated us already once and could easily again. Bilic has said we are in are relegation battle. No chance of getting any decent manager or players with a good reputation joining now.
